Registrar of Voters Announces Extension of Declaration of Intention for Superior Court Judicial Office

Any qualified person, other than the incumbent, can now file the Declaration of Intention papers and pay the filing fee until February 9 at 5 p.m.

SANTA ANA, Calif. – Feb. 5, 2026 – The Declaration of Intention period for candidates for judicial office of the Superior Court has been extended until Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. for the office listed below for the June 2, 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election because the incumbent failed to file Declaration of Intention papers by the Feb. 4 deadline.

The office is: Superior Court Judge, Office Number 13

Eligible citizens interested in seeking office can file candidacy documents with the Registrar of Voters

SANTA ANA, Calif. – Feb. 3, 2026 – Starting Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, individuals interested in running for one of 42 federal, state and county offices up for election in the 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election can begin the candidate filing process online or at the Registrar of Voters office.

CA Secretary of State Approves Orange County’s Election Administration Plan (EAP) 2026-2029

SANTA ANA, CA – December 4, 2025 –The California Secretary of State today (Dec. 4) notified the Registrar of Voters that it had approved Orange County’s Election Administration Plan (EAP) 2026–2029.

The Registrar of Voters published the final EAP on its website at ocvote.gov/EAP.
 

Registrar of Voters Certifies the 2025 Statewide Special Election Results

During the canvass, Registrar of Voters conducted several post-election voting system tests and audits. 

SANTA ANA, CA – December 2, 2025 – Registrar of Voters Bob Page today certified the official Orange County results of the November 4, 2025 Statewide Special Election.

Total voter turnout for the election was 52.3 percent. Of the ballots cast by Orange County voters and counted, 88.2 percent cast a Vote-By-Mail ballot and 11.8 percent cast an in-person ballot at one of 66 Vote Centers throughout the county.

SANTA ANA, CA – October 30, 2025 –  Notice is hereby given that Orange County’s Amended Election Administration Plan 2026-2029 is posted on the Registrar of Voters’ website at ocvote.gov/eap pursuant to the California Voter’s Choice Act.

The Plan is available in English and in translated versions in Chinese, Farsi (Persian), Gujarati, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese, in accordance with federal and state law.

All ballot processing, counting, testing, and audits will take place at the Orange County Registrar of Voters Office, 1300 S. Grand Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92705. Observers are also welcome to visit Vote Center and ballot drop box locations throughout the county to observe daily operations.
