Observation Schedule for November 8, 2022 General Election
SANTA ANA, CA – September 30, 2022 – The public is invited to observe as the Orange County Registrar of Voters conducts the November 8, 2022 General Election.
When eligible incumbents do not file for re-election the filing period is extended. During the extended filing period for the 2022 Statewide General Election, any qualified candidates, other than incumbents are eligible to file.
This release was corrected on August 15, 2022 to remove the offices of Rancho Santiago Community College District Trustee Area 4 and Irvine Unified School District Trustee Area 4 from the list of contests that had the candidate filing period extended.
Eligible citizens interested in local office can file candidacy documents with the Registrar of Voters or their City Clerk.
SANTA ANA, CA – July 15, 2022 – Starting on Monday, July 18, 2022, those interested in running for one of about 125 local school and special district offices up for election in the 2022 Statewide General Election can begin the candidate filing process online or at the Registrar of Voters office.

Prior to certifying the results, Registrar of Voters conducted several post-election voting system tests and audits.
SANTA ANA, CA - June 25, 2022 – Registrar of Voters Bob Page today certified the official Orange County results of the June 7, 2022 California Statewide Direct Primary Election.
Registrar of Voters will be conducting post-election voting system tests and audits in addition to those required under California law.
SANTA ANA, CA - June 8, 2022 – The Orange County Registrar of Voters will commence the first of several post-election tests and audits on Thursday, June 9, 2022, to ensure the accuracy of the 2022 Statewide Direct Primary Election results.
Vote Centers and pop-up voting will provide voters with more convenient options to vote in-person or drop off their ballot.
SANTA ANA, CA – May 26, 2022 – Starting this Saturday, May 28, Orange County voters will have expanded options for casting a ballot in the June 7 Statewide Direct Primary Election when the Registrar of Voters opens 43 Vote Centers throughout the county.
