SANTA ANA, CA – The Registrar of Voters will be hosting a public meeting to present its draft Election Administration Plan (EAP), which is the plan that will be used to implement Vote Centers in Orange County, on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Orange County Department of Education.

SANTA ANA, CA - Today the Orange County Registrar of Voters released results of multiple operational surveys, designed to measure quality and service, taken during the 2018 Primary and General elections. 

SANTA ANA, CA – California Institute of Technology (Caltech) has released its report, Assuring Election Integrity: A Comprehensive Ecological Framework for Evaluating Elections in Southern California, which followed a yearlong effort to develop and implement a wide variety of tools to study the integrity of elections in Orange County.

SANTA ANA, CA – Starting with the March 3, 2020 Presidential Primary Election, every registered voter in Orange County will receive a vote-by-mail ballot and will have the option to vote in person at any Vote Center in the County. In addition to informing the public about these important voting changes, the Orange County Registrar of Voters will be seeking community input on possible locations for the placement of Vote Centers.

SANTA ANA, CA – The Registrar of Voters will be hosting a press conference on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11:45 a.m. at the Irvine Civic Center to highlight the extensive planning and outreach efforts to transition to vote centers in Orange County in 2020. Also participating will be Secretary of State Alex Padilla, Molly McLaughlin, City Clerk, City of Irvine, Theresa Bass, City Clerk, City of Anaheim, and Adria Jimenez, City Clerk, City of Buena Park.

SANTA ANA, CA - The Registrar of Voters today announced the release of its report on two recently conducted pilot risk-limiting post-election audits. Orange County conducted these pilot audits in order to demonstrate that risk-limiting audits can be conducted on older voting systems.

SANTA ANA, CA - Accuracy testing of Orange County's voting system will take place Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. for the March 12, 2019 Board of Supervisors' 3rd District Election. The Logic and Accuracy test is required by law to be performed prior to each election. Logic and Accuracy tests will include proofing the programming of the ballot, each ballot style and each contest position on the ballot. The process is open to the public.

SANTA ANA, CA - The Orange County Registrar of Voters released their 2018-2019 biennial Voting Rights Act Compliance and Bilingual Outreach report today. 

SANTA ANA, CA - Accuracy testing of Orange County's voting system will take place Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. for the January 29, 2019 City of Seal Beach, District 1, Municipal Runoff Election.

SANTA ANA, CA - Registrar of Voters Neal Kelley has just certified the official results of the November General Election held on November 6, 2018.

Total turnout from the election was 71% with 44.2% of voters casting their ballot by mail, 25.2% casting their ballot in a polling place, and 1.5% casting their ballot in an Early Vote Center. This is the highest turnout midterm election in Orange County, CA since 1970, when turnout was 76.3%.
