Vote-by-Mail Ballots Mailed to Orange County Voters

Nearly 900,000 vote-by-mail ballots mailed today.


SANTA ANA, CA - The Registrar of Voters mailed a record number of vote-by-mail ballots to voters today. The number of voters receiving a permanent vote-by-mail ballot has quadrupled in the past eight years.

"The number of voters choosing to vote-by-mail continues to grow in Orange County". He continued, "Growth in vote-by-mail usage since 1996 exceeds 6,000%".

Historic Data and Ballot Tracking

Statewide data indicates that over 11 million ballots will be mailed to voters throughout California, which represents 56% of the registered voters in the state. Voters in Orange County should expect their vote-by-mail ballots to begin arriving in the next few days.

The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot for the November election is Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Voters can also track all aspects of their ballot by visiting ocvote.gov/track.
