Broadcast platform and easy access to Election Night operations available in Orange County


The Orange County Registrar of Voters has installed a broadcast platform for broadcast media in our Santa Ana headquarters for Election Night (November 8, 2016). Power, easy cable access and reserved parking for broadcast vehicles available.

WHO: Orange County Registrar of Voters, election headquarters, for Election Night operations (return of ballots and polling place supplies).

WHAT: Election Night results will begin arriving at our Santa Ana facility at approximately 9 p.m. on November 8, 2016 as polling places close. 1,093 polling places throughout Orange County will be returning their ballots and supplies to one of 33 collection centers, which will then transport them to Santa Ana under the guard of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

WHERE: 1300 South Grand Avenue, Building C, Santa Ana. Media credentials will be available beginning at 7:00 p.m. on November 8, 2016 in the main lobby. Media should check in and will be directed to reserved parking locations for access.

WHEN: 9:00 - 9:30 p.m. ballots and election supplies will begin arriving and will continue until approximately 1:00 a.m.

BROADCAST VISUALS: 90,000 square foot warehouse operations with 350 support personnel off-loading ballots, electronic ballot devices, and election materials. Large conveyor systems moving materials, 60+ trucks transporting materials, movement of supplies in preparation for counting, etc. Broadcast platform positioned in center of operations with visuals of all operations.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Power pre-installed on broadcast platform, cable protection available, on-site network access, broadcast vehicle reserved parking.
