NOTICE OF ELECTION
Notice is hereby given that the Presidential Primary Election will be held in Orange County on March 5, 2024.
Nomination Papers may be obtained at the Orange County Registrar of Voters’ office beginning on November 13, 2023, and must be filed in that office by December 8, 2023, 5:00 p.m. Offices for which candidates may be nominated or elected at the Presidential Primary Election include: United States Senate; Congressional Districts – 38th, 40th, 45th, 46th, 47th, and 49th; State Senate District – 37th; State Assembly Districts – 59th, 64th, 67th, 68th, 70th, 71st, 72nd, 73rd, and 74th; Orange County Board of Education Trustee Areas – 1st, 3rd, and 4th; Orange County Supervisorial Districts – 1st and 3rd; 36 Judicial Offices of the Orange County Superior Court.
Notice is further given that on that date, a Special Primary Vacancy Election will be consolidated with the March 5, 2024 for United States Senate Partial/Unexpired term ending January 3, 2025. To qualify for the office of United States Senator, the candidate must be at least 30 years of age, a United States citizen for nine years, and a resident of California on the date to be sworn into office if elected. Nomination Papers may be obtained at the Orange County Registrar of Voters’ office beginning on November 13, 2023, and must be filed in that office by December 8, 2023, by 5:00 p.m.
Notice is further given that starting Saturday, February 24, 2024, select Vote Centers will be open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Starting Saturday, March 2, 2024, all Vote Centers will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Election Day, March 5, 2024, all Vote Centers will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
All ballots cast will be counted centrally at the Orange County Registrar of Voters’ office, 1300 South Grand Avenue, Building C, Santa Ana.
Notice is further given that Vote-by-Mail ballot processing will begin on February 5, 2024, and will continue Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. until the election is certified on or about April 2, 2024. The last day to request a replacement Vote-by-Mail ballot to be mailed is February 27, 2024. The Vote-by-Mail process is open to the public at the Orange County Registrar of Voters’ office, 1300 South Grand Avenue, Building C, Santa Ana.
Notice is further given that the Orange County Registrar of Voters will conduct a manual tally of specific precincts, and will begin on March 6, 2024, at the Orange County Registrar of Voters’ office, 1300 South Grand Avenue, Building C, Santa Ana.
