Student Pilot Program

Student Pilot Program

The Orange County Registrar of Voters Office is excited to launch our Student Pilot Program for the Presidential Primary Election. High school students ages 16+ have the opportunity to volunteer at Vote Centers as Student Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) on Election Day, Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Students in the pilot program will join thousands of others in California to support democracy. Participating students receive a stipend for their service along with great hands-on experience in civic engagement.

What is a Customer Service Representative?

Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) play a critical role in the success of Orange County elections by assisting voters at Vote Centers. CSRs throughout Orange County ensure voters can cast their ballots independently and privately.

What is a Vote Center?

A Vote Center is a full service in-person voting experience that allows voters to cast their ballots, register to vote, get a replacement ballot, and receive general assistance for up to 11 days until Election Day.

Under the Student Pilot Program, Student CSRs will play designated roles in Vote Center operations on Election Day only.
