Countdown to Voting – Voter Information Guide
Voting for the November 3, 2026 General Election will open in 11 days. To help voters prepare to make their voting choices, Registrar of Voters will start today to mail the County Voter Information Guide for this election. Your County Guide provides trusted election information, explaining how, when and where to vote. It includes statements of qualifications for candidates for U.S. House of Representatives, State Senate, State Assembly, County Board of Supervisors, community college and school district governing boards, city offices and special districts. You also may find information about one of the 15 local measures on the ballot if your school district or city has one. All information about candidates for Statewide offices and State propositions will be found in the State Voter Information Guide that will be mailed separately. | Your Vote, Counted 1st ROV has a new voter education campaign, “Your Vote, Counted 1st,” funded by the state to encourage Orange County voters to return their ballot early. ROV begins processing Vote-By-Mail ballots as soon as they are received. Ballots returned early are verified, processed and ready to be included Election Night results after polls close at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Whichever way you choose to vote, returning your ballot early places your vote in the results update on election night and helps deliver faster results for everyone. You can return your ballot:
In every election since 2024, the votes from about 90% of all Vote-By-Mail ballots received by ROV up until the day before Election Day have been included in the first unofficial election results report. Voting opens Monday, Oct. 5, when Vote-By-Mail ballots are mailed to all Orange County voters. Learn more at ocvote.gov/early. |

| Registration Deadline – Oct. 19 The deadline to register to vote in time to have a November 3, 2026, General Election ballot mailed to you is Monday, Oct. 19 at 11:59 p.m. You can register to vote online today at ocvote.gov/register. If you want to check your registration status, or if you need to make updates, you can do so online at ocvote.gov/verify. If you are unable to meet the voter registration deadline, you can still conditionally register to vote through Nov. 3 at any Vote Center or at the Registrar of Voters located at 1300 S. Grand Ave., Bldg. C, Santa Ana, 92705. You may also conditionally register to vote online but must then go to a Vote Center or the Registrar of Voters to be issued a ballot. |
