Election Integrity Takes a Community
Election Integrity Takes a Community

Election workers are just like you. They are more than 1,000 of your neighbors, friends, relatives, and community members.

The Registrar of Voters screens all election worker candidates from the community and hires them as County employees. We provide several days of online and in-person training to our election workers to make sure your voting rights are protected, and your vote is counted.

If you are a person of integrity and would like to apply to join our team for the 2024 Presidential Primary, visit ocvote.gov/jobs

Election Observation
Election Observation

In addition to being easy and secure, Orange County elections are always transparent.

The Public Notice of Observation Schedule and Observer Guidelines Handbook are now available for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election.

If you are interested in observing election operations in person at the Registrar of Voters in Santa Ana or at any of the Vote Centers throughout the county, you can review these documents and other observation information at ocvote.gov/observe. Links to live streaming videos are also posted on this Election Observation page of our website.

The percentage of Orange County registered voters who cast ballots changes election to election.

  • 2020 Presidential Primary – 50.1%
  • 2020 Presidential General – 87.3%
  • 2022 Primary – 35.2%
  • 2022 General – 54.7%

What’s on the ballot plays a large role in voter interest. How do you think the nomination of candidates for the offices of President of the United States, U.S. Senator, and U.S. House of Representatives will impact voter turnout in the 2024 Presidential Primary Election?
