Voting Location Accessibility
Every effort has been made to ensure all Vote Centers and Ballot Drop Boxes meet accessibility standards.
Before the Registrar of Voters uses a facility for a Vote Center, staff visit the facility to determine if it meets accessibility requirements.
Any required accessibility modifications are provided to the Customer Service Representatives assigned to work at the Vote Center with instructions to implement them each morning. These modifications may include propping doors open, using cones to block hazards, and placing signs to reserve accessible parking spaces for voters.
To ensure the modifications are made each day, the Customer Service Representatives use a mobile device application to submit photos of the modifications. Registrar of Voters staff members review the photos to verify the modifications are placed correctly.
All Vote Centers in Orange County will feature the following resources for voters with disabilities:
- Accessible ballot marking devices to mark your ballot
- American Sign Language interpreter via video conferencing
- Curbside voting with a paper ballot
- Additional assistance upon request
- Voters that are unable to mark a ballot may bring up to two individuals to assist in voting
For more information on Vote Center and ballot drop box accessibility, visit ocvote.gov/accessibility. |

Use Your Voice for Voter's Choice
The Registrar of Voters wants Orange County voters to tell us at a public hearing tonight, September 25, what they think about how we conduct elections and how we might improve access to voting.
The public hearing starts at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at Irvine City Hall, 1 Civic Center Plaza.
After two months of public engagement during community workshops and meetings with community groups, a draft of our Election Administration Plan (EAP) was posted for public review and comment on our website at ocvote.gov/EAP.
The EAP addresses voter education and outreach, Vote Center and ballot drop box operations, accessibility and language services, election security, and contingency planning.
The draft EAP 2026-2029 is available in English and in translated versions in Chinese, Farsi (Persian), Gujarati, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese, in accordance with federal and state law.
Comments on the EAP may be submitted until the close of the public hearing:
- by mail sent to P.O. Box 11298, Santa Ana, CA 92711-1298
- in person at the public hearing
