Today is National Poll Worker Recruitment Day and WE ARE HIRING!!

If you are interested in joining the team at the County of Orange supporting our voters by working in the field at one of our more than 180 Vote Centers, please visit ocvote.gov/jobs to apply today!

Field Positions Include:

  • Vote Center Customer Service Representatives, to assist voters, serve in the assist with general election administration duties and process ballots.
  • Lead Customer Service Representatives, to assist in overseeing Vote Center operations, ensure processes and procedures are followed and assist voters.

Additionally, we are looking for candidates looking to work in our main office in Santa Ana.

In Office Positions Include:

  • Election Representatives who provide support in multiple areas of expertise including; phone bank, front office customer service, administration, records, and accounting.

Fast Facts: What Does a Vote Center Worker Do?

Vote Centers are Orange County’s full-service, one-stop locations for all things voting, enabling voters to solve voter registration issues, register to vote, get a replacement ballot, and get general assistance. For the 2024 Presidential General Election on November 5, there will be more than 180 Vote Centers throughout the county, some opening 10 days prior to Election Day.

The Orange County Registrar of Voters is looking for dependable people to work at one of our Vote Centers, providing customer service for current and prospective voters. Pay starts at more than $20 an hour. If you’re interested, visit ocvote.gov/jobs.

Just a friendly reminder that election workers are people just like you, your friends and neighbors. More than 1,000 Orange County residents will help members of our community vote during the days leading up to Election Day on November 5, 2024.

They provide customer service support at our Voter Centers, ensure that all mail is processed correctly, make certain that all voting equipment is functional and properly delivered. Plus, election aides review ballots and election results.

About the Voter’s Choice Act: Vote by Mail or at a Vote Center

Did you know that the Voter’s Choice Act allows Orange County voters to choose how they want to vote? 

All registered voters will receive a ballot by mail that can be returned by dropping it off at one of our secure drop boxes, bringing it to a Vote Center or sending it via the U.S. Postal Service.

You can also vote in person.

Voting in the November 5, 2024 Presidential General Election begins in about two months.

The Registrar of Voters will start mailing ballots on October 7.

If you need to register to vote for the first time or update your address, name, or political party, it’s easy and can be completed online. If you moved since the last election and want to make sure we don’t mail a ballot to your old address, please update your registration by September 6.

The deadline to newly register and to be mailed a ballot is October 21. Register to vote or update your registration today by visiting ocvote.gov/register.
