- To start the Candidate Filing process, a Candidate Information Statement must be completed.
- This statement requests basic information to assist the Orange County Registrar of Voters' office in verifying a candidate’s eligibility to run and hold public office.
- All required fields must be filled-out before a candidate may submit the statement.
- Upon completion of the statement, click the “SUBMIT” button to send the statement to the Orange County Registrar of Voters' office for verification of eligibility.
- The Orange County Registrar of Voters’ office will notify the candidate by email if he/she is qualified to run for the contest selected.
- For easy reference, print these instructions before continuing.
Candidate Information Statement Instructions
- A Candidate’s Handbook for the 2025 State Senate District 36 Special Primary Election can be viewed at ocvote.gov or obtained at the Orange County Registrar of Voters’ office.
- It contains information regarding contests on the ballot; an election calendar; qualifications required to run and hold public office; Candidate’s Statements; Declaration of Candidacy and more.
